At SHARPN we believe investing a little extra time to improve the clarity and impact of your slides has a real return for your readers. But we also know that time is often critical.

So we've created some templates and other resources to help boost your productivity.

Roadmaps

A clear roadmap has never been more essential. Here are five different ways to present your roadmap, as a free PowerPoint download. And some tips on what makes an effective roadmap.

ribbon & Quick Access Toolbar

In Office apps, many commands are not immediately available. For example, to align shapes can take up to four clicks. This can be frustrating. So we've created a ready-made Quick Access Toolbar with some of the most useful commands, plus an extra 'SHARPN Favourites' tab that collects even more commands in one place.

Installation instructions (same for PowerPoint & Excel)

Installation instructions (same for PowerPoint & Excel)

If you've already customised the ribbon or the toolbar you can back them up using the 'Export all customizations' option in step 4 before you install our settings.

At the moment, PowerPoint for Mac doesn't support importing customisations.

Download the relevant customisation zip file the at the link below, then follow these steps. They are the same for PowerPoint and Excel.

1
Extract the contents of the zip file - make of note of where the extracted .exportedUI file is. Note: extracting is important here; if you try to import the file from inside the zip file, it will not work.
2
In PowerPoint/Excel select File then Option at the bottom left.

4
Click the 'Import/Export' button bottom right and choose 'Import customization file'.

5
Navigate to where you extracted the downloaded file and click Open. (Make sure you select the extracted file from Step 2, not the one inside the zip file.)
6
You may be asked if you want to replace the existing ribbon and quick access toolbars – click 'Yes'.
7
Before you close the window we strongly recommend one extra step: check the box to 'Show Quick Access Toolbar below the ribbon'. This makes the commands even closer to reach and also makes room for more buttons.

8
Click OK to close the window.
9
That's it. Now you will see a full QAT and the new tab: 'SHARPN Favourites'.
